LiveOffice Expands AdvisorMail

NEW YORK -- Today at the Securities Industry Association's Technology Management Conference, LiveOffice (www.liveoffice.com) announced the addition of fully integrated mailbox management and business continuity features to AdvisorMail, its hosted message archiving solution. The new functions in AdvisorMail 5.0 provide continuous user access to both new and archived message data even if the in-house mail server suffers an outage, improve storage efficiencies, and reduce email-related operating and storage expenditures for companies of all sizes.

"When it comes to deploying an effective message archiving system and plan, two of the biggest issues that companies face today are mailbox management and business continuity," said Michael Osterman, principal of Osterman Research. "The good news is that leading archiving vendors such as LiveOffice are tailoring their product enhancement roadmaps to meet these challenges and working together with companies to make sure their message management needs are met in all areas."

Mail Recovery: Outsourced Business Continuity

AdvisorMail's new, always-on Mail Recovery provides firms with a cost-effective method for ensuring that employees have access to business-critical messages when unexpected disasters strike an in-house mail server. Since AdvisorMail's message archive is fully integrated with LiveOffice's webmail client, users have complete email functionality as well as access to current and archived messages from any Internet-connected PC, ensuring that system outages do not cause a loss of email data or missed business opportunities.

The Mail Recovery feature also eliminates the need to pay tens of thousands of dollars to recover lost data from a disabled mail server, and it reduces IT costs and overhead by making it possible to preserve the flow of inbound and outbound email communications, without the assistance of an on-site system administrator.
